Ragdoll is a comparative new breed, it was developed in Californien in the
1960'ties by a breeder named Ann Baker.There has been much myth
surrounding the origin of the breed, it can all be read in books
about cats, I'm afraid to move out on a limb! |
It is a large cat, males size range between 5-9kg and females between 4-5kg. The chest is broad as the shoulders and the hind quarters. The legs are solid and medium long. The paws are round and compact and it had long hairs (snowshoes) between the toes! The face is round and the cheeks well developed, the oval eyes are blue. The tail is long and bushy and slightly tapered towards the tip. |
The coat is medium long, silky and soft and need grooming about twice a week The cat looks like a cute toy-pet ready for loving and embracing! |
It is a very gentle cat with a loving temper, it has close links to its slave! It is devoted and gives and expects a lot of love! A ragdoll should be inside only, they are very docile cats and are not good to defend themselves from other animals. |
It has a gentle, crispy and sweet voice, and it likes to use it! They grow slowly and it takes them about 3-4 years to reach their complete color! The ragdoll appear in many different colors and patterns, blue, seal, red, lilac, choko and maybe more! They can be mitted, lynx, colourpoint, bicolor . |
If you ever have a ragdoll, it is love for a lifetime, you will never like to be without such a loving cat ever! |
